Gas Chromatography is a technique based on the physical separation of two or more volatile chemicals between two phases. Gas Chromatography utilizes long capillary columns with a stationary phase and a fluid phase which is the carrier gas. The separated chemicals are then analyzed by a detector instrument. OSB Lab uses only mass selective detectors (MSDs) which are superior to others because they generate unique confirmatory chemical fragmentation patterns or chemical fingerprints.

How the GC analysis is done is outlined in the Analytical Methods section.
